New Coronavirus case in Malta – 8 others recovered

A 34-year old Spanish man is the only person who resulted positive from the 1,006 swab tests carried out on Friday.

On a positive note, Public Health Superintendent Charmaine Gauci said during today’s press briefing that another eight persons recovered from the virus – the total of cured persons has reached 427 from the 490 positive cases. This means that there are currently 58 Covid-19 positive persons. The recovered persons are aged between 20 and 59.

Prof. Gauci stated that there are currently seven persons in hospitals – four at Boffa Hospital, two at St Thomas Hospital and a patient at Mater Dei.
