NGOs protest the tentacles of corruption

Repubblika, Occupy Justice and manueldelia.com, this evening organized a protest in front of the Parliament renewing their call for justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia.

In his speech, the president of the association, Dr. Robert Aquilina, said that the protest was held because it was necessary to sever what he called the tentacles of the octopus of corruption which he said had infiltrated into institutions.

Dr Aquilina said that corruption had led to the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and claimed that this would not have happened in the absence of politicians and also because, in his words the institutions are weak.

The President of Repubblika said that the it wants the institutions to be given all the means they need to reach full truth and justice.

The protest was addressed by Louiselle Vassallo who said that we were not living in heaven on earth and if was only once politicians start to show a crumb of respect, that the country would start to heal and that we can start talking about the much coveted unity.
