No new Covid-19 cases in Malta for sixth consecutive day – another person recovers

For the sixth consecutive day, the Health Authorities have reported that no new case of Covid-19 has been identified.

The authorities have also reported that another person has recovered, bringing up to 661 the number of persons who have recovered from the coronavirus.

Only four active cases now remain in Malta.

The authorities stated that 985 swab tests were carried out between yesterday and today, pushing up to 109,538 the total number of swab tests carried out to date.

This is the first time no new cases have been identified in Malta for six consecutive days, since the beginning of the pandemic.

With effect from today, Malta International airport has opened up to travel from at least 28 other countries, after it had re-opened to 20 European destinations on 1 July.
