Not guilty of keeping two television sets stolen on Christmas Day

Pierre Cremona has been acquitted of charges that back in 2013 he had kept two stolen television sets with a value in excess of 2,000 euro.

The Court decreed that Cremona could not have known the sets were stolen.

The television sets had been stolen from a Paola showroom on Christmas Day of 2012. Months after the theft, the Police were informed the television sets were in Cremona’s possession. When interrogated by the Police, Cremona stated he had purchased the sets for 1.400 euro from Grazio Calleja to cover debts he had with him.
