One out of every four people at risk of disease because of lack of exercise
The World Health Organisation said that one fourth of the world population, in other words, almost 1.5 billion people, are not doing physical exercise. According to WHO, when compared with the statistics from 17 years ago, not much has changed.
WHO has warned that the lack of physical exercise leads to one out of every four people becoming at risk of serious health issues, including heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and even cancer.
The country where people do the least amount of physical activity is the UK, and among men and women it is the women who do the least exercise, except when it comes to Asian women.
