Over €1m spent on embellishment of Government apartments in Qormi

Embellishment and maintenance works costing over one million euro have been carried out on 32 blocks of Government apartments in Qormi over the past two years.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Accommodation, Roderick Galdes, has stated that 336 families benefited through this investment, with works being carried out in common areas and on the rooftops of buildings.

The blocks are located within four areas in Qormi: Ta’ Farsina, Ta’ Paskarella, on tal-Blat, and in the area of  De La Cruz garden. Mr Galdes stated that this programme of works is an ambitious one aimed at regenerating all Government housing estates. This translates into a better quality of life for residents and their families who reside in these buildings.
