Paraguay: Ends up detained by the authorities on alleged use of false passport

The former star of Brazilian football, Ronaldinho, has been detained by Police authorities in Paraguay in connection with the alleged use of a false passport to enter the country.

The Home Affairs Minister stated that Ronaldinho and his brother have not been arrested, but are under investigation.

It had been reported in July of 2019 that the player had ended up with his passports confiscated because of unpaid taxes.

The 39-year-old former attacker had travelled to Paraguay to promote a book and a campaign for needy children.
