Part of Saqqajja Hill closed off after collapse of wall in yesterday’s storm

Infrastructure Malta has announced that part of Saqqajja Hill has been closed off because of a wall which collapsed during yesterday’s storm.

In a statement on social media, Infrastructure Malta explained that architects and technical personnel are investigating the demolished wall which supports the upper part of Saqqajja Hill in Rabat.

Infrastructure Malta added that in order to ensure public safety, the road in the direction of Nikola Saura Street and George Borg Olivier Street will be closed off until further notice.

Drivers are asked to follow directional signs to alternative routes in the same areas. Access to Imdina and to Main street in the Rabat core will remain open.
