Patients on long term treatment at Karen Grech hospital received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

All Karen Grech patients, aged over 85 and who are receiving rehabilitation treatement, and also patients over 60 years old on long term treatment, were given the first dose of Covid vaccine.

The Health Ministry said in a statement that the first dose was given with the exception of patients who are positive to Covid or are in quarantine, who will be inoculated once their health permits, and those patients who couldn’t be vaccinated due to medical conditions or have refused the vaccine.

It was pointed out the medicical professionals and hospital staff are receiving the vaccine according to the Health Ministry plan. Oncology patients will received the Covid vaccine before they start receiving chemotherapy.
