Pfizer registers €2.9 billion profit in three months through sale of vaccine

During the first three months of this year Pfizer made a profit of €2.9 billion from the sale of Covid vaccine. This represents 25% of the total profits made during the whole of the three months.

The American company developed the vaccine together with the laboratories of the German company BioNTech.

Pfizer was the centre of criticism for deciding to produce the vaccine for profit reasons.

Johnson and Johnson as well as Astra Zeneca decided to sell the vaccine even if they did not make a profit while Moderna is not reaping any profits.
