Placido Domingo honoured after harassment allegations

Spanish opera singer, Placido Domingo. has been bestowed the honor of being an honorary ambassador for world heritage in Spain following a performance at the Teatro Real in Madrid – the first since 2019 at an event organized by the foundation Excelentia, to raise funds for the Red Cross and Covid-19 victims union.

The audience welcomed Domingo’s return on stage. Last year, the Spanish Ministry of Culture canceled all planned productions in theaters while Domingo withdrew from the shows after an investigation by the American Guild of Musical Artists concluded that he may have behaved inappropriately in connection with harassment allegation made by female performing artists.
