The Planning Authority said that it has removed 900 illegal signs which were put up in various areas around Malta, attached to trees, walls and even feast decorations.
In a statement, the PA said that the signs were not only illegal because no permit had been issued for them, but that they were also a danger to drivers because of their position and the quantity of the signs.
The placards, which had messages on them related to the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, were put up by the group Kenniesa last night.
On social media, the group uploaded photos of the signs and in a message to the Government they hoped that the person removing them was having fun doing so in the blazing sun. The group also said that the signs were just the first part of their activism.
Occupy Justice Malta also shared these photos on their FB page while praising those responsible for the signs.
