PN calls for the re-establishment of the Vote 16 Committee

The Nationalist Party called on the Government to immediately re-establish the Vote 16 Committee and bring the motion presented by the Opposition and Marlene Farrugia on Parliament’s agenda so that 16-year olds can vote in the next election.

The Nationalist Party said in a statement that the Vote 16 committee, established in 2016, has not met for six months, and called for its re-functioning to prepare for the vote decision to the youths.

Meanwhile, the National Youth Council in a statement together with five youth organizations, including the youth sections of the three political parties, showed its support for the proposals to bring the right of vote to 16-year old age limit so that these youths can vote in the next election.
