Police carry out more searches and speak to a number of people in connection with Daphne Caruana Galizia murder

The Police Corps said that although four people have already been arraigned in Court in connection with the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia, the investigations into this case have continued at an intensive pace.

In a statement, the Police said that these investigations are being led by the Homicide Squad, the Economic Crimes Unit and with the active collaboration of Europol. All the investigations are being held under the aegis of the Magisterial Inquiry.

He said that all information that the Police have collected over the last few days is being investigated. He explained that in connection with the ongoing investigations, the Police have carried out and will continue to carry out more searches at various places and a number of people related to the case have been or will be questioned.

It added that because of the sensitivity of these investigations, the Police at this stage are not in a position to give further details as they might prejudice the case.
