Prim Minister gives orders for Daphne Caruana Galizia’s memorial to be left alone

Prime Minister Robert Abela has given instructions for Daphne Caruana Galizia’s memorial at the Great Siege Momument to stay put and for it to not to be cleared up.

He said this when fielding questions to journalists about whether he had plans to address Civil Society. Confirming that he would be doing so, he said that this evening Caruana Galizia’s memorial would be left alone and would not be cleaned.

The previous government was heavily criticised by members of Civil Society when candles and flowers placed on the memorial would be cleaned up every evening.
