Prime Minister meets with Commonwealth Secretary General

The Prime Minister, Dr Joseph Muscat has met with the Commonwealth Secretary General, Patricia Scotland. The meeting was held in London, where activities have started in connection with CHOGM.

Both sides analysed acquisitions by the Commonwealth in the past two and a half years, after the last leaders’ summit, CHOGM, had met in Malta. Since that meeting, Prime Minister Muscat has been the Chair-in-Office of the Commonwealth. This post will be transferred to the United Kingdom in the coming days.

The Prime Minister and the Commonwealth Secretary General also discussed themes on the agenda of the leaders’ summit which will meet on Thursday in London and on Friday in Windsor.
