Prison warden tests positive to Covid-19

A prison warden is among the persons who tested positive to coronavirus in the past hours.

A spokesperson for the Corradino Corrective Facility told TVM that the worker had indicated that during the contract tracing process he had accompanied a prisoner to hospital.

He added that the corrective facility continued to adhere to continuous disinfection protocols, masks wearing and visits under certain conditions, including with the use of perspex. Scores of swab tests were also taken of other officers who, until now, resulted negative.
