Dr Marilyn Casha, Prof Casha’s wife, nominated for European Citizen Award

Medical consultant Dr Marilyn Casha, the widow of Professor Aaron Casha who was the sixth victim of Covid-19 in Malta, has been nominated for a European Citizen Award.

Dr Peter Agius, who worked within European institutions for many years, announced in a statement he was nominating Dr Casha as she is representative of the hundreds of workers in the health sector who were at the forefront in the fight against Covid-19.

Mr Agius added that these workers were the best examples of the values of compassion and human solidarity, and are the expression of the European Charter of Human Rights.
