Published photograph raises hell

Many people are incensed and irritated by a photo that was published by the Italian Interior Minister on Easter Sunday.

On the day 290 people were reported to have died tragically in a cold-blooded terrorist attack in Sri Lanka, Matteo Salvini’s office chose to publish a photograph of Salvini carrying a firearm during a public event.

The photo was published by Luca Morisi, the Minister’s personal assistant where it was said that his party was always armed to the teeth and would not permit anyone to sully his name.

Author of Gomorra, Roberto Saviano, has called Salvini the Minister of the “Mala Vita” (Mafia) who is sending out a clear message – that power has gone to his head and that he is dangerous and unscrupulous. Others said that the photograph published on such a tragic day showed a lack of respect and lack of sensitivity for the victims and their families.
