Police officials injured in anti-lockdown protests in Germany

At least 18 Police officials were injured while trying to disperse crowds protesting against lockdown measures in Germany. Police said three of them are being treated in hospital

Over 1,000 officials were on hand to monitor protests attended by about 20,000 people.

The organisers declared Saturday to be a day of freedom after months of Coronavirus restrictions. Some demonstrators carried placards stating “false alarm” relative to the virus restrictions.
