Man accused of two thefts while armed with a knife

Sean Farrugia (30) from Birkirkara has once more become entangled with the Law following allegations he carried out two thefts.

He was arraigned in Court and accused of having stolen €420 from a Gżira kebab outlet. Police accused him of having on Friday entered the shop armed with a knife and demanded money from the shop owner.

Farrugia was also accused of a similar theft on 6th January when it is alleged he stole €650 from a Gżira hotel.

Appearing before Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud, the accused, a repeat offender, entered a plea of not guilty but was detained under arrest.
