Raymond Cutajar loses battle with cancer – he will always be remembered for his positivity

Raymond Cutajar, who has been battling cancer for years, has died.

Well known in Birzebbugia by his nickname il-Mundu, Raymond had been battling cancer for the last six years. Despite this, however, he always remained positive. Although in the last few months, small traces of cancer had been detected again and he was visiting the oncology hospital every week, his spirit remained optimistic. In an interview, he had told  TVM that he was not going to waste time crying in a corner, but that he would remain active and live his life until his last breath.

Ray had said that despite the fact that he was in pain, his philosophy of life was to appreciate every breath he takes, which he believed was the secret which had kept him alive so long.
