Buffon establishes new record of 974 minutes without conceding a goal

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has broken the Italian Serie ‘A’ record of fellow Milan ‘keeper Sebastiano Rossi who had established a record of keeping a clean sheet for 929 minutes without conceding a goal. Buffon broke the record four minutes into a match and went on to establish a new record of 974 minutes of keeping a clean sheet before being beaten by a penalty in this week-end’s match between Turin city rivals Torino and Juventus with Juve winning the Turin ‘derby’ 4-1.
