Remains of 44 persons found in Mexican well

In Mexico, forensic experts managed to identify the remains of 44 persons who were buried in a well in the Jalisco state.

The remains of the bodies were found in 119 black bags, with the majority them had been sliced in pieces. In order to identify the victims, Mexican forensic experts had to join together various parts of the bodies.

The shocking scene was discovered after nearby residents had complained about the strong odor coming out of the well.

Jalisco state is mostly known for the most violent drug groups.

Some of the corpses have not yet been identified.
