Remanded in custody after being caught with drugs concealed inside hen coop
A 42-year-old man from Siggiewi, Horace Fenech, has been remanded in custody following a find of a considerable quantity of heroin and cocaine.
Fenech, who is a relapser through another Court sentence, has denied charges. He was arrested after more than one kilogram of drugs was foud concealed inside a hen coop on a Siggiewi farm, following a search by Anti-Drug Squad officers and others from the Canine Section.
Fenech is the owner of the farm where the drugs were found. The Police stated yesterday that following further investigations, a search was also carried out on a car, and a smaller quantity of drug believed to be cocaine was also recovered.
In connection with this find, the Police arrested a 33-year-old man from Qormi. Whilst investigations are ongoing, Magistrate Gabriella Vella is conducting an inquiry, assisted by a number of experts.
