Salaries in Malta increase by less than half of European average

Between April and June, salaries in Malta increased by less than half of the European average in the Euro Zone.

According to Eurostat, Malta has the second lowest rate of payment per hour, after Portugal.

Statistics show that on average, the rate of payment per hour for work in the EU increased by 3.1% while in Euro Zone countries, the increase was 2.7%. In Malta, the increase was 1.1%.
