Scouts enjoy three days afloat under canvas

Camping at the height of Summer is not ideal in Malta’s heat, but it is also a time when children and youths are on holiday and can enjoy a bit of camping.

kamp bahar 1Which is why the Stella Maris College Scout Group decided to erect their tent on a sea platform. Which, of course, would allow campers to refresh themselves with water-based activities.

The Scouts constructed a wooden raft which served as a base for the tent, and spent several days afloat. As part of their camping activities the Scouts also did their cooking, ate and slept.

And the floating tent, anchored just off Exiles in Sliema, also served as a centre for all activities carried out during this camping ‘holiday’.
