Sergeant Simon Schembri knighted

Sergeant Simon Schembri was invested with title of a Knight by one of the Knights orders – The Knights of Malta Sovereign Order of Jerusalem.

The Simon Schembri Blue Light Foundation, which was founded by Mr Schembri himself, congratulated him for the knighthood.

Sergeant Schembri ended up in the public eye after he was run over by a car while on duty. He had his right arm amputated following the incident.
