Seven parishes celebrate ‘Santa Marija’ on this day

Six localities in Malta and another one in Gozo today celebrate the feast of Santa Marija, the special patron Saint of the Maltese Islands.

This time of year is linked by many to their annual holidays, and for many others it means attending celebrations and external feasts being celebrated today in Mosta, Attard, Gudja, Hal Ghaxaq, Qrendi, Imqabba and at Rabat in Gozo.

And the feast of Santa Marija will also be celebrated on Sunday in Dingli,  Imgarr and Zebbug in Gozo, and not forgetting tiny Comino, which will lso be celebrating this feast at the weekend.
