Cigarette smoked in Paceville establishment cost him dearly

A cigarette a man smoked inside a Paceville establishment has ended up costing him over €1,000.

Mishal Nace from Macedonia was arraigned in Court following an argument with a Police Officer that resulted from his smoking in breach of the Law.

The dispute began when the man was requested by another patron to go outside to smoke. The Macedonian appeared to be in a drunken state and ended up arguing with a female Police Officer when she asked for his personal details.

In Court he admitted to the accusations, including that of threatening the Police Official and of smoking in an area where smoking is prohibited. Magistrate Doreen Clarke fined him €1,050.
