Six-month sentence for trying to leave Malta using false documentation

A man has been imprisoned for six months after attempting to leave Malta using false documentation.

A Malian immigrant, who had arrived in Malta a year ago, was handed down a six-month sentence after admitting to having tried to leave the island using false documents.

Inspector Lara Butters accused Bouram Keita of falsifying identity documents.
