Special schedule for Holy Week

PBS has a special schedule for Holy Week.

This begins on Maundy Thursday when at 9.15 am, TVM2 will transmit the Holy Mass for Oils from St John’s Co-Cathedral.

In the evening, at 6.15 pm TVM2 and Radio Malta will transmit the Solemn Commemoration of the Last Supper, also from St John’s Co-Cathedral.

On Good Friday, TVM, Radio Malta and tvm.com.mt will transmit the Adoration of the Cross from Xagħra. At 5.45 the Good Friday process will be transmitted from Xagħra.

At 7 pm, TVM2 will transmit La Sollevazione Di Cristo, a concert of funeral marches performed by the La Valette Philharmonic Society.

At 9.15 pm TVM2 will broadcast the Via Crucis from the Coliseum which will be conducted by Pope Francis.

On Holy Saturday, at 4.30 pm TVM2 will broadcast a concert by the Fondazzjoni Pawlus in memory of Mro Joe Vella.

At 8 pm TVM2, tvm.com.mt and Radio Malta will transmit the Easter Vigil Function from St John’s Co-Cathedral.

On Easter Sunday, TVM and tvm.com.mt will broadcast the Easter Holy Mass from The Vatican starting at 10 am and will then be followed by the Papal Blessing Urbi et Orbi at 12 noon. The blessing will also be broadcast by Radio Malta.

The special schedule will come to an end with a concert by Fr Karm Debattista – The Rhythm to the Melody Line, which will be transmitted at 3.15 pm on TVM2.
