Smile for the camera!

A photograph taken by an anti-poaching ranger in the Democratic Republic of Congo with two gorillas posing and standing behind the man, has gone viral.

The ranger Marthieu Shamavu was among those who, in 2007 rescued the gorillas when they were still babies.

The rangers had found the gorillas when one was two months old and the other four moths old, after their mothers were killed and they have raised them for the last twelve years.

The symbiosis between the gorillas and Shamavu is evident, as they appear to be human-like and mimicking him while posing for the photos while standing upright and looking straight into the camera.

One of the directors of the sanctuary where the gorillas where raised said that they considered the rangers their parents, and tried to emulate them.
