Industrial actions in Physiotherapy Department suspended

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Chris Fearne, announced that with immediate effect, industrial actions in the Physiotherapy Department at St Luke’s Hospital have been suspended.

In a tweet, Minister Fearne said the directives were suspended following discussions between Steward Healthcare and the Union of Midwives and Nurses, MUMN.

In May, the MUMN had said that Steward Health Care had failed to provide the promised investment in the Department and had therefore ordered industrial actions by physiotherapists.
