Woman travelling from Spain in airport cocaine arrest
Customs officers managed to apprehend a Spanish woman with 9.8kg of cocaine hidden in a suitcase.
A statement was issued to the effect that the woman came to Malta from Spain and was apprehended when the bag she was carrying was passed through the x-ray machine and revealed that she was hiding cocaine in a false bottom.
Another passenger accompanying the woman was also caught in possession of cannabis and ecstasy.
The drugs were confiscated and handed over to the Police while the passengers were arrested and are expected to be brought to court shortly.
