‘Spazju Kreattiv’ audiences have almost doubled over the last year

Last year the number of people who went to watch a film at the cinema at Spazzju Kreattiv almost doubled and came to around 19,000 people.

The cinema programme co-ordinator, Cathleen Tanti said that they had an increase of 8,800 people last year. She said that locally there is a lot of interest.

“Last year, we increased a lot of films and different genres such as documentaries and exhibition on screens which are documentaries from many different countries. We also show live performances via satellite, of the Royal Shakespeare Company, while also showing small films from around the world like Brazil, Australia and other countries.

Mrs Tanti said that this weekend, the Valletta Film Festival Weekend will be held at Spazju Kreattiv.
