Special public transport arrangements for Nadur Carnival

Malta Public Transport will be running additional services for the duration of the Nadur Carnival between Friday 21 and Sunday 23 February. There will be special routes from Ċirkewwa, Imġarr, Rabat Victoria and other localities to Nadur.

On Friday 21 Malta Public Transport will operate a shuttle service from Imġarr to Nadur between 7.00 p.m. and midnight. The shuttle will leave with the arrival of every boat trip, even if additional boat trips are carried out. At the same time, there will be a direct bus service from Rabat Victoria to Nadur every half hour between 8.00 p.m. and midnight.

At 1.00 a.m. six special routes will depart from Nadur and cover other localities in Gozo:

1. From Nadur to Xagħra and Marsalforn
2. From Nadur to Xewkija, Ta’ Sannat (Ta’ Ċenċ), il-Munxar and ix-Xlendi
3. From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, Kerċem and Santa Luċija
4.  From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, San Lawrenz, l-Għarb, l-Għasri and iż-Żebbuġ
5.  From Nadur to Għajnsielem and Imġarr
6. From Nadur to Qala.

Route N11 from Ċirkewwa to Buġibba and St Julians will operate its regular schedule and will leave every half hour between 11.05 p.m. and 02.05 a.m. On Saturday, 22nd MPT will operate a shuttle service from Imġarr to Nadur between 7.00 p.m. and midnight. The shuttle leaves on the arrival of each boat trip, even if there are additional boat trips. At the same time, a direct bus service will operate from Rabat Victoria to Nadur every 15 minutes between 8.00 p.m. and midnight. And at 1.00 a.m. and again at 02.30 a.m. six special routes will leave from Nadur and will cover other localities in Gozo:

1. From Nadur to Xagħra and Marsalforn
2. From Nadur to Xewkija, Ta’ Sannat (Ta’ Ċenċ), il-Munxar and ix-Xlendi
3. From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, Kerċem and Santa Luċija
4. From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, San Lawrenz, l-Għarb, l-Għasri and iż-Żebbuġ
5. From Nadur to Għajnsielem and Imġarr
6.From Nadur to Qala.

Additional services will be provided from Ċirkewwa during the night up to 4.00 a.m. Trips will coincide with the boat schedule, and will return to these destinations:

 Route S41 from Ċirkewwa to Valletta

 Route S49 from Ċirkewwa to Valletta via Birkirkara Bypass and the Skatepark

 Route S221 from Ċirkewwa to Buġibba

 Route S222 from Ċirkewwa to Sliema Strand.

Route N11 from Ċirkewwa to Buġibba and St Julians will operate as per the regular schedule and will leave every half hour between 11.05 p.m. and 02.05 a.m. On Sunday 23rd, MPT will operate a direct bus service leaving from Rabat Victoria for Nadur every half hour between 8.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. At midnight, six special routes will leave from Nadur and will cover other localities in Gozo:

1. From Nadur to Xagħra and Marsalforn
2. From Nadur to Xewkija, Ta’ Sannat (Ta’ Ċenċ), il-Munxar and ix-Xlendi
3. From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, Kerċem and Santa Luċija
4. From Nadur to Rabat Victoria, San Lawrenz, l-Għarb, l-Għasri and iż-Żebbuġ
5. From Nadur to Għajnsielem and Imġarr
6. From Nadur to Qala.

Malta Public Transport will also offer special services from the Valletta Terminus to the Malta Carnival on Sunday 23rd February. A number of routes covering many of the localities will work as per the weekly schedule instead of the Sunday schedule from 12 noon onwards. The affected routes are:

  Route 31 to Buġibba
 Route 46 to Ħal Għargħur
 Route 48 to Buġibba
 Route 49 to Għadira
 Route 61 to Ħaż-Żebbuġ
 Route 62 to Siġġiewi
 Route 71 to Żurrieq
 Route 82 to Birżebbuġa
 Route 84 to Żejtun
 Route 91 to Marsascala
