THIS EVENING: Spectacular event to mark reopening of airport for commercial flights

This evening Malta is to be divided into six zones for a display by 31 fireworks factories which will be presenting a pyrotechnical spectacular that will combine traditions, heritage, culture and the victory of containing the Coronavirus pandemic.

The fireworks will be launched from 21 different localities in Malta and Gozo and is estimated to contain 450 petards.

The event organised by the Malta Authority for Tourism has been named “Visit Malta Now” and will commence at 8.30 p.m on the occasion of the reopening of the airport for commercial flights.

At the same time an Air Malta aircraft sporting new logo designs will fly low for a while, also to mark the occasion.

The flight and part of the pyrotechnical display will be featured on and on the Facebook page Television Malta.
