Steward Health Care Malta applies for the development of St. Luke’s hospital
The company Steward Health Care Malta has submitted a development application to the Planning Authority for St. Luke’s Hospital to be turned into a modern hospital, which includes better accessibility to open spaces and for a Government school in the area.
In a statement, Steward Health Care Malta said that the plans submitted were drawn up after discussions with officials from the Ministry of Health which it said were are of the highest quality as per the concession.
Steward Health Care runs three hospitals in Malta: Karin Grech, St. Luke’s and Gozo General Hospital.
Last month, Prime Minister Robert Abela appointed a committee of experts to evaluate and analyze the agreement of the three hospitals and did not exclude stopping the agreement.
