Street parking in front of PBS building reserved for blood donors

Because of works being carried out in the square in front of St Luke’s Hospital, resulting in access to vehicles being prohibited, six parking slots on the street in front of the Public Broadcasting Services building a few metres away have been reserved for blood donors.

Despite this, a blood bank spokesman told TVM that the parking spaces are generally taken up by drivers who are not blood donors, and as a result, blood donors are finding nowhere to park.

The spokesman appealed to all able-bodied persons to turn up and donate blood, as the present need is great.
