Sustains grievous injuries when replacing gas cylinder at Marsascala

A 25-year-old Syrian national has sustained grievous injuries when he suffered burns from a flame when he was replacing a gas cylinder.

The accident occurred at a private residence in Triq is-Sibbien, Marsascala at about 11.20 a.m.

The man was transferred for treatment to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to be suffering from injuries of a grievous nature.

Police investigations are ongoing.
