Teenager in danger of dying following traffic accident in Fgura

An 18-year-old boy is in danger of dying following a traffic accident which took place late last night in Fgura.

The accident happened at 11pm in Triq Hompesch, Fgura.

The young man, who is from Zejtun, lost control of his vehicle, a BMW 320D, and crashed into a public transport vehicle, an Otokar Vectio, driven by a 31-year-old man, resident in Birkirkara.

A medical team and ambulance arrived on the scene and the teenager was taken to Mater Dei for treatment. He was later certified to have sustained serous injuries.

Duty Magistrate Dr. Natasha Galea Sciberras was appointed to open an inquiry into the accident while Police investigations continue.
