The Netherlands won the Eurovision Song Contest after 44 years

The Netherlands won the 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv so that after 44 years, the country will host the contest for the fifth time in Eurovision history.

With his interpretation of the song Arcade, Duncan Laurence won the prestigious festival with 492 points – 261 from televoting and 231 by the professional judges. Second place went to Italy while Russia placed third.

Malta classified in 16th place with Chameleon sung by Michela. The Maltese singer won 75 points from the professional judges and 20 points during televoting for a total of 95 points. The maximum votes of 12 points by the Maltese judges went to Italy.
