Theresa May says former Russian spy was poisoned by military material

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, said that former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter were poisoned by military material, a type which is developed by Russia. May stated that it is therefore thought that Russia is after this irresponsible attack in Salisbury. The Foreign Office has requested the Russian ambassador in the UK to provide an explanation.

Theresa May added that if the Russian Government does not provide a credible reaction by next Tuesday, the British Government will conclude that Russia committed an illegal act in England.

The UK Prime Minister further stated that the chemical material used in the attack is of the type known as Novichok, developed by the Russians. She said that either the attack was committed by a direct order from Russia against England, or the Russian Government lost control permitting the use of this deadly chemical to end in possession of others.
