Three men arrested after they were allegedly plotting attack in Melbourne
The Australian police have arrested three men who were allegedly plotting to carry out an attack in Melbourne.
The suspects are aged 21, 26 and 30 and have been placed in custody after they allegedly tried to purchase a semi-automatic pistol to carry out the attack.
The three men are Australian citizens and their passports were cancelled earlier this year.
The police said that the men had not yet identified a particular place but they were planning to carry out an attack in the next few days at a crowded place.
Earlier this month, a man was killed and two injured in a terrorist attack carried out in Melbourne.
