Three shops damaged in Mġarr during the night

Three shops in Żebbiegħ Street, Mgarr, were damaged during the night, with owners reporting broken glass.

One of the owners who spoke to TVM, said he was informed about the matter by the owner of one of the neighboring shops, who happened to be inside the shop in the early hours of the morning when he heard the sound of breaking.

It is not yet known whether the damage was carried out by vandals or whether the intention was to steal and the plan derailed from some reason.

The owner of one of the shops said that the glass was very strong and shatter proof but that households may not have this level of security.

He appealed to anyone with information to pass it on to the police.
