Note found in aggressor’s van who carried out terrorist attack in New York

A note has been found in the van of the aggressor who killed eight people in New York, in Lower Manhattan in which there is a reference to the Islamic state.

The aggressor was identified as Sayfuloo Saipov, 29, an immigrant who entered the United States in 2010.  Saipov had already been arrested last year in connection with a number of traffic violations.

He was arrested by the Police after they shot at him as he emerged from the van and began shouting, “Allah hu Akbar”.

Among the victims in this attack there were five friends from Argentina who were celebrating the 30th anniversary since their graduation. In all, eight people were killed and another 11 injured when the van was driven into a group of people walking in the cycle lane in Lower Manhattan.

On his part, President Donald Trump ordered the Department of Homeland Security to increase its measures to investigate more closely the people entering the US.
