Half of the roads on which work commenced have been completed

Infrastructure Malta has completed road-building works on half the roads on which work started at the beginning of this year.

While visiting two work sites where roads are being rebuilt at Santa Venera in Triq San Ġorġ and Triq Brighella, Minister Ian Borg said the work is being carried out in collaboration between Infrastructure Malta and the Local Council. He said that of the 700 roads on which work has to be carried out over a seven-year period, work started on 82 roads and has been completed on half of them.

He said these are part of the first 120 roads chosen after assessment of offers was carried out. Infrastructure Malta is currently assessing offers on works for a further 170 roads.
