Eight injured by parcel bomb in the French city, Lyon

At least eight persons suffered injuries when a package suspected to be a parcel bomb exploded in the central part of Lyon in France, the country’s third largest city.

Police cordoned off the area and currently explosive experts are investigating the incident.

French President Emmanuel Macron described the explosion as an “attack”.

It is being reported the suspect package was placed near a bakery by a hooded cyclist.

Luckily, the victims, that include an eight-year-old girl, suffered only slight injuries.
