‘Together, we will keep moving forward’ – Prime Minister Robert Abela

In his first message to the nation, the new Prime Minister Robert Abela said he was humbly welcoming the responsibility to serve the Maltese and Gozitan people as PM.  He said that Malta needs to keep moving forward to create more prosperity which can reach everyone and which can be better distributed.

Dr Abela said that people want stability and peace mind so that Malta can continue moving forward and he promised that from today,  he would work to carry out the electoral manifesto which saw the PL being elected to Government in 2017.

He added that the country needs to continue succeeding with a strong economy and the creation of more employment.  He said he entered politics to help people and promised that he wold work to strengthen social mobility so that everyone can be given the opportunity to reach their aspirations and so that no one falls behind.

Dr Abela said that there needs to be national unity, which he said has always won over fear.  He added that unity has always made the Maltese people stronger and he wants to find what brings people together rather than what divides them.

He ended his message by promising to keep working so that the people of Malta and Gozo will always keep moving forward together.
